After a wedding cake consultation, I’m always asked by our couples if I had any tips that I could share with them for their big day. One tip that comes to mind is of course cake related! I always suggest having them ask their venue or catering staff to pack a take away box containing a few slices of their wedding cake. Odds are that they never even had a chance to try a slice of their own cake, and it is a shame to have to wait a full year to take a fork to the top tier.
From birthdays to showers, from religious ceremonies to weddings, events have become quite the spectacle. What used to be a simple meal at home has now become a lavish outing with sumptuous food and decor. But who is complaining? These are times for celebrating and living life to the fullest, so why not do it in style, and with class?
