I love color and I love 2014’s forecasted color palettes! Now that the holidays are done, we can get back to the business of cakes. It was only a few weeks ago that my screen was full of holiday DIY projects for the pinterest enthusiasts and thoughts of turkey and stuffing dancing in my head. But with the last drop of champagne consumed, bidding a fond adieu to 2013, I’m having visions of pretty pastels, bold and dramatic navy and of course glamorous gold. Here are hot hues for 2014
2014 Colour Trends
Carrying over from last season, coral is still holding steady at first place. With endless color options (2013’s mint comes to mind) gold is favoring as a perfect complimenting color to this happy and vibrant hue.
2014’s new black. Navy adds sophistication to any color palette, add gold to complete the modern renaissance feel. Romantic pairings include shades of blush pinks, caledon green, dove grey, mustard yellow, periwinkle blue.
A very versatile color that livens any color scheme and can be used to achieve a vibrantly modern or subtly vintage chic theme. Our favorite combinations include: robins egg blue, poppy red, deep rose, canary yellow, sunkist orange.
